THE AUTHOR

Laura L. Bates has been on missionary trips and has been to Uganda twice and Nigeria once. She has sponsored and corresponded with a young lady from Uganda who has won beauty contests and excelled in public speaking for AIDS awareness. Laura has experienced life in Uganda and Nigeria first hand, and has worked hand in hand with individuals much like the characters in the book.
